Psychology Specialist

Kari Monroe

BSN, RN

Kari has been a nurse for over 21 years in an emergency room setting. Kari had taken a break from the emergency room and did a job in a locked mental health unit. This is where her career passion for mental health clients grew, finding the gift of gab, understanding, listening, and being able to talk with clients without stigma. This allowed her to go back into the emergency room, bringing to the table knowledge and teaching about important mental health issues and concerns to co-workers.

Like Micah, in Kari's career, she has seen a significant gap between physical and mental health care, and she has witnessed a persistent stigma towards mental and psychiatric issues in the emergency room. Our passion is to be able to promote emotional and physical well-being in a stigma-free environment and give everyone a safe place to heal.

  • Diploma of Nursing: Licensed Vocational Nurse, 2001
  • Associate of Science in Nursing – Registered Nurse (RN), 2012
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 2022
